Users’ main requirement in using mobile app is content browsing or app functionalities. Searching for details of the content in the app is a low frequency advanced user requirement. By leaving the app interface and visiting a search engine for more information, the user undergoes a complicated search process. Here is where AI SmartScreen comes in.

When user long taps on the text on AI SmartScreen, the system copies the selected text and searches information on search engines like Baidu. Information about the selected text is returned to the user, allowing users to search without a search box or having to leave the app.

To return relevant results to users, AI SmartScreen processes pre-search information (i.e. what user says in the app) with natural language processing. Accuracy can be improved if data outside of the app, e.g. cathe user’s calendar, are available to analyze user behavior.
