A girl from remote Sichuan countryside has over 58 million followers

Li Ziqi (李子柒) is a girl from remote Sichuan countryside and also an Internet Celebrity with over 58 million followers across her Social Media platforms.

She started making videos since 2016 on a Chinese short video platform Meipai. In her video, Li shows her life in the countryside. She shows her works as a farmer, and how to cook traditional meals with ingredients from her farm. In another video, she handcrafted a piece of furniture with bamboo.

Her videos attract followers with nostalgic background music, beautiful nature in Sichuan and her classical Hanfu wardrobe. People said Li’s videos portray the pastoral ideal that allows modern people who live their stressful life in cities to feel relax and has a glimpse of the simple life in the countryside.
